Prime Video has secured an exclusive deal to broadcast National Hockey League (NHL) games in Canada, taking over the national rights previously held by Rogers Communications Inc. and CBC. The agreement covers the entirety of Rogers’ 12-year national rights package, spanning regular-season and playoff matches through the 2037-38 season. As part of the deal, Prime Video will stream a minimum of 27 games each Wednesday, starting on September 30. Canadian Prime members will receive the live broadcasts at no additional cost. The move follows Rogers and CBC’s decision not to renew their sub-licensing agreement for the long-running “Hockey Night in Canada” on the public broadcaster after the 2025-26 season.
